2024 TIMELINE

  1. You must submit your request form by Monday, October 7, 2024

  2. All applicants will be notified by Monday, October 14, 2024

 

QUALIFICATIONS TO PARTICIPATE

  1. Vendors must be a Small Business in New Jersey to participate

COMPLETING OUR FORM

  1. Your application progress cannot be saved.

  2. Multiple Businesses: Each business must use a separate form. If you have three (3) businesses, you must submit three (3) forms

  3. Multiple Locations: If your business has more than one location, you can enter all locations in a single form

Small Business Saturday Terms & Conditions

2024 TIMELINE

  1. You must submit your request form by Monday, October 7, 2024

  2. All applicants will be notified by Monday, October 14, 2024

  3. Payments are due by Friday, October 18, 2024

  4. Food Truck Permits are due by Friday, November 22, 2024

 

QUALIFICATIONS TO PARTICIPATE

  1. Vendors must be a Small Business in New Jersey to participate.

  2. The following products and services are NOT permitted at NJAC Small Business events:

    • No prepared catered foods; (baked packaged goods are allowed)

    • No cannabis or cannabis related products or services

    • No adult toys or pornographic materials

    • No alcoholic products or services

    • No politically related materials or services

    • No offensive language on merchandise

    • No weapons including but not limited to knives, guns & ammunition

    • No explosives

    • No live animals

  3. There is a $55 registration fee for approved vendors to secure their spot inside the 2024 small business event venue. If vendor is accepted to participate, NJAC will email the payment link per the timeline above. Registration fee payments are only accepted online. Cash, checks and money orders are not accepted

  4. The registration fee is waived for Food Truck vendors. However,  a permit from the city of Newark is required to comply with the city ordinance. This permit must be emailed to NJAC  per the timeline above. We suggest allowing a minimum of 2-3 weeks for this process but NJAC cannot guarantee this timeline. The permit fee ranges from $250-500.

  5. Applications are not considered complete until payment/valid city permit is received.

HOW BUSINESSES ARE SELECTED

  1. Submissions are considered on a first come, first serve basis.

  2. There are a limited number of spots for each product/service type to ensure consumers get a well-rounded experience at the event; therefore, if your application is approved but you do not pay the registration fee by the due date AND before other vendors selling the same products/services finalize their payment, your application may later be denied and your payment returned. Didn't get your payment returned? Email us.

COMPLETING OUR FORM

  1. Your application progress cannot be saved so, we suggest you have your signed agreement and logo (optional) ready to be uploaded wbefore you begin. You will not be able to submit the form without required documents. 

  2. Multiple Businesses: Each business must use a separate form. If you have three (3) businesses, you must submit three (3) forms.

  3. Multiple Locations: If your business has more than one location, you can enter all locations in a single form. Separate payments are NOT required for multi-location businesses.

Black-Owned Business Directory

QUALIFICATIONS TO HAVE BUSINESS LISTED

  1. Any business that is Black-owned qualifies to be listed with exception to the following product and service types:

    • No cannabis or cannabis related products or services

    • No adult toys or pornographic materials

    • No alcoholic products or services

    • No politically related materials or services

    • No offensive language on merchandise

    • No weapons including but not limited to knives, guns & ammunition

    • No explosives

  2. Businesses MUST have a website or an active AND current social media presence.

  3. There is NO FEE to be added to the directory.
