SOURCE OF KNOWLEDGE BOOK CLUB AND TALK

This collage highlights the North Jersey Alumnae Chapter’s Arts & Letters initiatives, showcasing their vibrant literary programming through the Source of Knowledge Book Club & Talk. Hosted in partnership with Newark’s iconic Black-owned bookstore, Source of Knowledge, these events celebrate Black authors, cultivate cultural awareness, and create meaningful spaces for dialogue, creativity, and community engagement. Sorors and community members gather to explore powerful works of literature, participate in author conversations, and reflect on themes that shape the Black experience—past, present, and future.
The images depict lively discussions, bookstore browsing, and warmly attended Arts & Letters events such as Paint & Jazz, chapter acknowledgments, and featured author talks. NJAC’s Arts & Letters Committee continues Delta Sigma Theta’s long-standing commitment to preserving and amplifying artistic expression and literary excellence within the African diaspora. By hosting book clubs, cultural roundups, and author events, NJAC not only supports Black storytellers but also nurtures spaces where knowledge is shared, perspectives are broadened, and community bonds are strengthened. These programs reflect the Sorority’s deep belief in the transformative power of art, books, and culture to inspire, educate, and empower.
