MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER

This collage highlights the North Jersey Alumnae Chapter’s participation in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, a nationwide movement dedicated to raising awareness, supporting survivors, and funding life-saving research. Sorors proudly march every year in their red attire, carrying chapter banners and standing alongside community members, caregivers, and survivors in a powerful show of unity. Their presence reflects Delta Sigma Theta’s unwavering commitment to women’s health, advocacy, and education—especially in addressing breast cancer disparities that disproportionately impact Black women.
Through fundraising, team participation, and community outreach, NJAC helps support the American Cancer Society’s efforts to advance research, expand access to screenings, and provide critical resources for individuals navigating diagnosis and treatment. The energy and solidarity captured in these images highlight the chapter’s dedication to promoting early detection, fostering hope, and uplifting families affected by breast cancer. By taking part in Making Strides, NJAC demonstrates its belief in collective action, compassion, and the power of community engagement to help create a future where fewer lives are lost to this disease.
