TEEN SOCIAL JUSTICE FORUM

The North Jersey Alumnae Chapter’s Teen Social Justice Forum provides a powerful platform for young people to explore issues of equity, fairness, and civic responsibility in an open, supportive environment, including how to deal with traffic stops, stop-and-frisk, cyber bullying, human trafficking and domestic violence,. Designed to help teens understand both their rightsand their responsibilities, the forum brings together youth, community leaders, and social justice advocates for meaningful dialogue on topics such as policing, discrimination, conflict resolution, civic engagement, and navigating interactions with authority figures. Through workshops, scenario-based discussions, and Q&A sessions, participants gain tools to confidently advocate for themselves and contribute to positive change within their communities.
Aligned with Delta Sigma Theta’s mission of Political Awareness and Involvement, this program equips students with knowledge that strengthens their ability to think critically, speak out against injustice, and make informed decisions. The images included—teens engaged in discussion circles and NJAC members supporting the event—reflect the chapter’s commitment to creating safe learning spaces where youth voices are heard, respected, and empowered. The Teen Social Justice Forum stands as a testament to NJAC’s dedication to cultivating socially conscious young leaders who understand the importance of justice, responsibility, and active citizenship.
