DELTA DAYS IN OUR NATION'S CAPITAL

This powerful image captures members of the North Jersey Alumnae Chapter participating in Delta Days in the Nation’s Capital, one of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s most significant national public policy initiatives. Held annually in Washington, D.C., this event brings sorors from across the country together to engage directly with federal lawmakers, policy experts, and national advocates. Through legislative briefings, issue forums, and advocacy training, participants examine key national issues—such as voting rights, health equity, economic justice, education reform, and criminal justice—while learning strategies to influence policy at the highest levels.
Standing proudly in front of the White House, NJAC demonstrates its commitment to Delta’s Political Awareness and Involvement thrust and the Sorority’s ongoing legacy of social action. Delta Days in the Nation’s Capital strengthens the voice of Black women in government and reinforces the importance of civic leadership, community advocacy, and informed participation in the democratic process. By joining thousands of Delta women in this historic space, NJAC continues the work begun by the Founders—ensuring that the concerns of their communities are heard, represented, and championed on a national stage.
